The Day i Swallowed Daboos ( a pin)

Well there are so many funny stories but i think most can't be shared on this blog... but i remembered something that happened to me that i posted here a long time ago and well for those who are new readers on this blog you must have missed this... so here is the post :

Where was i the last 2 days? Hmmm not really wedding planning... i was in the hospital....

Yes... again i have a weird experence to share... things like this ONLY happen to ME... i SWALLOWED A PIN!!! Out of the many things a person can choke on or swallow by mistake.. COINS,FLYS,BONES,RINGS,EARINGS!!!! i swallow... A PIN!!!

How u may ask... let me explain... i was fixing my hijjab with pins.. so that it doesnt fly with every slight gush of wind . i was talking to my friend Aloosh with the pin in my mouth.. then i think i GASPED at something either she or i said... or just breathed in slightly... then GULP!!!!!

*dinos looks at alia with eyes full of SHOCK & FEAR & CONFUSION!!

*dinos points at throat and then at other pin in the hijjab!! ALIA SAYS " Shooo u dropped it?"

*alia starts looking on the floor...

* DINO makes a weird NOISE TRYIN TO GET ALIAs ATTENTION TO HER FACE & points at THROAT.... afraid that if she talks she will die!

ALoosh s face now looks like DINAs only she is laughing at DINA now and freaking out as well lol
i was abt to pray so i freaked out.. i was like pray first or call my mom first.. ( mom is a doctor) so.... after running around in circles not knowing what to do i decided to pray.. cause chances are if i die from this pin i die praying! Then i call my mom ..

ALO MAMA.. ma tkhafi.. ma tkhafi...BAS BALA3t Dabooooooooos
( side note : my mom freaks out when there is no reason so you can imagine after telling her i swallowed a PIN)

story continues....

Mama : EISH!!DABOOOs!? KEEF!! ??? ( WHAT A PIN HOW?)

Dina : sho 2a3mal ??????? ( WHAT SHOULD I DO?)

MAMA : rooo7i koleeee KHUBZEH!!

ALooshti runs hysterically to the kitchen throws RGHEEF( piece of Pitta bread) at me!! i start munching on it like a beggar who hasn't eaten in a year!!!

MAMA: yala  ana jay 7akhdik il mustashfa!! ( im coming to take you to the hospital)

We are driving to the hospital and ofcourse i could not stay QUIET the whole time i was making jokes and laughing... id say things like... this will be a NICE BLOG i was actually running out of TOPICS! lol or " law ino il khubzeh feeha LABANEH or Za3tar kan ithanayt badal ma abla3ha 7aaaf"

hehehe i was actually pretty hungry before this incident

Anyway.. i reach the hospital and all the nurses would LAUGH when they ask what is wrong...

MOM : " binitee bala3at daboos"( my daughter swallowed a pin)
Nurses looking around for a toddler... then i wave my hand with an embarassed smile :S

*nurse trys to hide the laugh... then i see them telling each other and laughing...

then they did an X RAY and i could see it in my STOMACHE!!! so they are like we need to make a ENDOSCOPY... i go like.. okay... UNAWARE of what this procedure REALLY MEANT!!!
the doctor arrives and asks where the patient is... mom says its her.. she says..
" OH Sorry I WAS LOOKING FOR A 7 year old "

arghhhhhh :S

LOL nice nice.... any one else want to mock me? aaahahahahah Soooooooo.. any hoooooooooo

suddenly they take me to a room... where i wear the operation clothes... and the inject me with something that i think was a anesthetic... so what i remember was a LONG TUBE WAS SHOVED DOWN MY THROAT!!! it was more like TREASURE HUNT in my STOMACHE!! After i don't know how long i woke up and i dont even remember anything other than i came in and i was shocked to see the had already took out the famous PIN!!

i also remember that it was fun being pushed around on a bed seeing the hospital lights! And i remember saying lots of weird things after the endoscopy since iwas still under the mukhadir effect! mom said i was dancing at a certain point lol when they asked if i was OKAy i stood up and did a quick NEMRA ( egyptian dance) lol

Felt like i was high.. not that i know what it feels like heheh but i should not be under any drugs whatso ever because i believe i am naturally high..

NOW THAT WAS A WEIRD EXPERIENCE.
... first thing i said was "7ase fi SANDAL FI ZORI"
(i feel there is a slipper stuck in my throat) hhahahaha

now it feels like there is a baby shoe rather than a huge sandal!!! :S

truth is i have swallowed a nail in the past... when i was 8.. but this was a first.. the lesson i learnt is.. dont talk when u have pins in your mouth... wait... no its DONT PUT PINS IN YOUR MOUTH!!! :S

Funny Stories II (Humus wala Cerelac)

Well its turns out my previous funny story got even funnier.. i msged my friend who i thought this story was about and told her to check out the post.. only to find out that she is not the person i am talking about. so till now i am unsure whose engagement i missed i dont even remember if i ended up finding the right party. which brings me to chain of endless stories about my memory loss that causes many many many emabrassing moments. but for today.. i will share the funniest story of my life.. i personally think this is the funniest thing that i have ever expereinced... so let me give you a bit of a background on this story..

My dad.. Allah yishfee.. before he got the stroke was always very serious and well we hardly sat there and talked and made jokes. To me he is like al 3ageeed in baab al 7araa. i would attempt to make him laugh or say jokes but usually he either did not react or just gave me a look that meant" SHARRRAP" haha So now knowing that about my dad let me start with what happened..

i love cerelac.. and before i even had lulu i would sometimes buy it and just make some and slurp away.. so one day i just felt like having cerelac and bought some. apparently it did not taste the way i used to and i didnt like it. So i didnt want to throw it away because growing up i was told any food u throw away will " yil7a2ek yowm al qiyama" ( follow u on judement day). so i imagined a huge bowl of ceralac running after me and me drowning in cerelac. so i put it in the fridge.. maye ill eat it later...

NExt day.. i wake up.. to see my dad sitting in the living room. with a troubled look on his face... i ask..

ME :"shu fee?" (whats wrong)

baba : EISH HADA IL FIL TAALAGEH???  fakarto humus 7atyt 3alieh zayt wa ghamastooo ( what was that in the fridge i added olive oil and had some thought it was humus)

ME : *DYing of LAUGHTER at this point ! BABA !! HADA CERELAAAAAAAAC!!!

LOOOOOOOL so that my dears was the story of how my DAD ghamas CERELAC.

btw i have an idea... why dont you share your funny stories here as well? send me a funny story to my email and if i think its very funny ill draw an illustration for it starring you and i will post it here.. so you get to get a free cartoon of yourself and ofcourse you get to be feaured in my BLOJ :)

Old Blogging Days!

wow.. i just spent the past hour going through my old posts and its like reading my diary. it brought back smiles and tears and its like reliving memories. I dont even remember how i started but for sure i never thought then that i would be blogging for the next 5 years! this pic i posted is a screen shot of the FIRST i ever got on my first post .. a SPAM msg.. that i actually replied to because i had no idea it was SPAM lol love the anonymous comment here.

Anyway.. so much to say.. i used to write and hardly anyone read my posts so i just wrote anything i felt like writing. Soon i had followers and people i know from real life started reading my blog and i love that i love having readers. what i dont love is that this causes a lot of necessary DRAMA! like i post some random thought and the next day i find someone m2ate3ni and does not want to talk to me anymore :S I am generally an open person.. for EX... i shared my life with my readers. the good the bad, the sad and ofcourse the CRAZY . some say i share too much and that i shouldnt and now i try to keep my blogs more general and not personal. i shared my 3ersan stories and fears.

I feel like i found myself here. after blogging for a while i decided to try illustrating cartoons for my posts and stories and that was when i introduced my famous "Bagoora". who is actually my imaginary cow friend who is there for me always. the story behind the cow love is here.

Made me realize that i love illustrating and now i am working on becoming better in animations as well.

Bagoora was a big hit.. lots of fans and followrs loved her.. but i admit once i got married i broke her heart and she found herself a husband 6owr.

Looking back at the events that happened in the past 5 years. i started this blog single, depressed and jobless. then i found a job and in 2007 got married. this was a funny blog i wrote in my single days on how i felt then :P i also shared how it was like to be a newly wed with my cooking adeventures ( burns, slips in the kitchen).

I also shared my sadness as well.. a 3 years ago my dad had a stroke and i thank all my blog readers for standing by me with thier prayers. never underestimate how simple kind words can affect another person. Al hamdulilah he is stable now.

Neway so then i shared my wedding with you all.. then i blogged while i was pregnant updating everyone on my pregnancy and drawing cartoons of how i imagined lulu with a poem for each post :)

And now i am sharing my experience being a new mom and sharing my stories with lulu :) my now 20 month year old daughter! Wow lulu will be 2 soon! i admit i stopped blogging for a while as i was overwhelmed with being a new mother but now i am back on track ! will 2agrefkum with my blog posts and cartoons! working on an animation right now..

So in conclusion.. i feel deciding to blog has been the best decision i ever made... i have gotten to know a lot of amazing people like Abed who is funny and only speaks (jawaher) also very active on twitter

Kinzi a person who makes your heart all warm and fuzzy.
Ola with her lovely posts
Maioosh who is an amazing person, a new mom like me now who is married to another blogger Qwaider. Not to forget to mention mr Abulsharif and his batata tree.
Halawa who is the most hilarious person to tweet with :P Other ppl i have followed for a long time areMqabbani, KJ ( who has an amazing photography blog as well), Mzaher ( my old friend from uni and brother of one of my best friends who is like a sis to me which makes him technically my brother ). Other cool people i got to know a little are Malaget Ghaseel , SimSim , Damdoom.

Lots who used to comment here i still remember but they no longer have blogs. Im sorry if i forgot to mention people i am sure i have. Thank you all for making this blog possible. If i didnt have followers or readers i probably would have never come this far :)

Thank you all.. Group Hug.

Plenty of fish in the Sea?

So we all have heard the " plenty of fish in the sea" metaphor at some point in our life. And i must say yes there are a lot of fish in the sea but there are also a lot of fish that are now extinct. And sometimes the fish you find is a rare fish that is not found very often. So when someone is depressed or just feels like they lost someone special. Don't use this metaphor to make them feel better. imagine you are out fishing and just caught a really huge and rare fish! you are so happy and suddenly it jumps out of your hand and back in the sea. There are a lot of fish in in the sea is not what you want to hear right away.

There could be a lot of fish in the sea but unless if you are aiming on having mermaid children that is not a comforting thought. So.. instead i will say to all those amazing single ladies out there looking for their special fishie .. you dont need to go fishing. because usually you will be disappointed as the fish you thought you caught, after pulling at it so hard turns out to be a big "kundara"(shoe). So just live your days as they come don't try to make things happen and let Gods plan take action because He knows what is best. There are a lot of good people out there and some actually dont even smell like fish :P

Getting Old

i was asked he other day when i graduated from university.. and i hesitates before i said "i went into uni 11 years ago!!" just saying it made it a reality and i just never felt those 11 years pass by! i mean some memories feel so recent like it was 2 to 3 years ago but its actually 11 and counting. and ofcourse i am not getting any younger. i am now 28 years old and i dont consider myself old but its just that i know time passes by so fast and before i know it another 10 years will pass and then another 10 and im 50 years old and i look back at my life and wonder how i got here so fast!

i am 28 and already i feel after delivery like my body has been hit by a hurricane. its like one baby and back pain has never left me. its like i get up and i sound like a grandma. " akhh dahrriii" i feel that by the end of the day i dont have any energy left. i worry about what will happen after 3 kids! its like pregnancy, delivery and motherhood sucks the life out of you and ur body no longer responds to you. id be sitting on the couch.. and the something is on the floor.. and in my head i say " goomi ya marra"... silence... "GOOMEE yalaaa" no reaction..

i think as the years pass by.. the stronger the effect of gravity is on ur body.. its like everything is heading down lol and you will likely get laghaleegh... you will expand in ways you never knew possible.. you notice stretch marks.. wrinkles.. white hair and one day you will look in the mirror and think "WHO IS THIS PERSON?"before you know it your children will grow up and have thier own grandchildren and you will be a GRANDMA! i still cant get over being called " KHALTO" :S

with time u start needing more and more medications. to control cholesterol diabetes.. your memory gets worse.. your hearing gets worse... you need alarms to remind you to take the medications and you need hearing aids to hear the alarm! :S

i think i will never get over the shock of seeing ur friends kids or baby sisters after a few years.. and suddenly they are grown ups!! my friends son was so tiny and cute and i used to hold him and play with him. that was when he was 3 or 4.... last time i saw him.. he had facial hair! and sounded like a "3amo"! i just can never get over that... how fast ppl grow.. how fast we grow.. and i just wish that by the time im really old i look back at my life and feel i accomplished something
that affected the world somehow. i want to be remembered. i want to make a difference.

my flight to al GORDON

So as soon as i enter the plane. and next to me is a lady that looks extremely exhausted carrying what i thought was a bag on her chest. and 3 hyper kids sitting next to her. as soon as i sat down she started complaing to me. saying. " hatha 6ayaran mush nafe3! mush mka3deena kolnajamb ba3d" so i assumed hes husband was in the second aisle. but well she said" hay ibni la7alo warah"

*WIDE EYES* ibnek ( if i was drinking water now it would have bazagt-ha out of my mouth)

side note : what i thought was a bag on her chest was a month old BABY! so small that you cant even see HIM!

so in total.. this lad had 5 kids. and is travelling ALONE!

i asked : liesh ma 3indik khadameh? keef bt2dareee????

she replied " JoWzeeee ma bido khadameh li2no rijaal mutadayen wa ma byakhud ra7toh fil bayt!!!!!!!wa bido lisa kaman walaaadd"!!!

omg?! and me i a thinking how do ppl manage with 2 kids without a maid!!!

she obviously was so exhausted and mutdamra. and i cant blame her. i also felt sorry for her eldest girl who is 5 years old! because she doesnt have a maid she makes her daughter help take care of her brothers.

for ex. many timeso n the flight she would say " roo7i shakheeekheee akhoooki fil 7ammaam"
how disturbing is that? her brother is like 9 months younger than her and she took him to the bathroom and seemed to have done this many times before! even when lulu ran away from my la on the plane she came to me with lulu saying " khalto hay bintik"

so i sit there hearing her complain about her life and how she would love to "zet wa7ad feehum" if not " zethum kolhum" !! ofcourse she spilt all sorts of drinks 3alay. and i could here her kids zinoo every 2 secs " yummmmaaa btilkli3 il 6ayaaara" "yammma hab6a6 il 6ayarah" " yammaaa hatha il talafezyooon fee 2al3aab" yammmaaa yaama yamma

they offered lulu some marshmallows with CHOCOLATE SYRUP... and u can imagine manzareee and weyaha. full of chocolate ( note to self - DONT WEAR WHITE EVER AGAIN)

so in conclusion... i dont believe children is a responsiblity that is only on the mother. its both parents! and it is unfair in marraige that man only thinks about his "raa7aaa" and neglects how tiring it is to take care of kids!women should not just keep getting children when they cant hadnle them till they reach a point where they believe thier life is over because of thier kids and start bottling up anger and rage that eventually come out on the kids. who grow up with major psychological problems.

2aall wa shooooooooo wa hiyeh taking care of all these kids and takes them to school and bitdaressss wa bit7ammem he comes and complains that she is ignoring his rights as a husband and bu3ud bitwa7am 3ala 6abkhaaaat!!!!

i just go frustrated.. and i had to share. havent blogged in a while guess gordon inspired me!

Jeel il GPS

So you are driving to somewhere with your GPS ofcourse because nowadays you MUST have a GPS. you enter the location code. and you wait for "jil /mursi fat7ieh or whatever you named ur GPS to start talking and leading the way. you find yourself using the GPS to get to locations you already know the way to but you still trust it more than yourself. you can be wrong but it surely knows the way.

So one day. you are driving and suddenly you hear the GPS say "lost reception" or "recalculating" and its stuck and you are stuck and you just dont know where to go! and you start freaking out! and sometimes new roads are not updated so it tells you to go left or right when there is no LEFT or RIGHT and insist on GOING because ofcourse IT SAYS so and ofcourse it CANT be wrong.

Pshhh.. jeel il GPS i7na :P i must say if they can implant one in my brain i will not say no because my sense of direction is.... ma3dooom.

Al Gurdon

Although i am not pure jordanian. And jordanians call us palestinians with jordanian passports "Baljeekeyeh" i must say when i think of home i think of jordan. ofcourse palestine is in my heart but i hardly lived in palestine and i carry it in my heart. but jordan is where i grew up.

where else would you hear a Ghaz icecream truck? where else would you wake up to sheep eating ur gardens 7asheesh as ra3ee il ghanam says "hrrrrrrrrrraaaaa3".

where else would u here DURrrrrrrrayehhhhhhhhh !

when you live in jordan for too long u start complaining about how ppl dont smile much wa darbeen booz. you complain about how they drive. and the way the men flirt in scary sometimes life threatening ways . like for ex almost running you over with his car and then blowing u a sleezy fly kiss. or knowing that when you go to AL BALAD (city center) you willl surely come back bruised from the many males who will pinch you and shove you with thier shoulders as they whisper " eishhhh ya lu3beh/khasseh/barbie/ pascal?/get3a/shagfeh"

i will always remember the cab drivers that share the weirdest stories. most of them claim have phd's or are drs and drive a cab for fun. or the 100 mirrors in the front of the cab so that he can look at u with alf 3ayn and ofcourse he is always playing the weirdest jordanian music. and what is up with the long pinky fingernail! ya33333

i go to jordan for one month and it takes me a few years to get rid of the "7afartaliness" talk. and i dont think i will ever totally stop the jordan effect. for ex. using expressions like "iglibi" wijhik or "6age3". it just rubs off on you. i think anyone who goes to jordan should stop by lebanon on his way to wear off the gordun effect

oh and the beggars.. ya salam. they should seriously go to hollywood. i mean look at the "slumdog millionare" kids. (sorry i hated that movie especially when i had to see it in a movie full of indians smelling like curry and the guy next me farted and i felt the vibration and ofcourse the fart smelled currlylike too)

so you would think send some of those kids from jordan to make a movie and watch them win 10000 oscars. i remmeber one kid who was crying at the edge of the sidewalk picking up the gum "s&b" that had fallen on the floor. i flet sorry for him. i knew he was forced to sell it and i knew he would get in trouble. so i gave him some money. a week later . same traffic light. same boy.. crying picking up his chewing gum! some guy actually felt so sorry for him got him a new box of gum! hahah

so in conclusion. i can talk forever about jordan. i can make fun of so many things but in the end i feel its a part of me. and i love jordan. it feels like home to me. and so many memories and funny stories come to my mind when i think of jordan.

whether ur full palestinian/ of full jordanian. or palestinian that has lived in jordan. we are all arab. and we should all be proud to be arabs. i personall am proud to say im a palestinian/ jordanian wa bazborti akhthar zay blaaaaadna il sarakoooha il yahood. oh i just remmeber my renwed passport is blue. so ignore that last comment :P

Bagoora updates

i have not been able to update the blog for a while. i have actually not been able to do many things. Being a mom is a full time job. when i say full time i mean there is no time at all to do anything but feed lulu, change lulu, hold lulu, burp lulu *cycle continues. My time is not mine anymore, i forgot how it feels like to think of myself and to do anything other than be a mom.

It gets easier with time and everyday you fall more and more in love with your baby. She is starting to smile and makes the cutest sounds! sometimes i just feel my heart turns into melted hot fudge!

Now the Big News. After feeling neglected and replaced. Bagoora chose to accept a marriage proposal from 6owr from her past. She is happy and says she will visit me from time to time. I will miss her and will still update you with her cartoons when i get a chance :)

Pregnanc = Bagraneh

So maybe some of you are sick of pregnancy talk. Others are feeling pregnant themselves from my posts and status updates. But what can i say? I usually post about my life and now i am pregnant and pretty much that is all i can talk about :) wait till lulu is here and i'll drive you crazy with baby talk!

Before i was pregnant i just craved chocolate. Then after i got pregnant i could hardly eat for 3 months of puking and lost 6 kg . then....there was a major turn in my karoosh lovin!

I went to bed thinking of my next meal. i woke up thinking of breakfast. i ate breakfast and planned my lunch. My cravings changed from just chocolata to everything!

Thank God i didnt gain as much as some pregnant ladies but i also was no angelina when i got pregnant so i have to keep that in mind before i pig out! But sometimes my cravings are stronger than my self control. *munching on chocolates

About 2 weeks left! AAAAAAAAH!

Bagoora looked at me the other day and said " mama"

*sigh

Dear Belly

My Dear Pregnant Belly
You were once simple a Karoosh
You sometimes still feel like jelly
And sometime i fill you with Fatoosh

You sometimes block my view
And are starting to get in my way
You are so big i can't reach my shoe
You are getting bigger everyday

I will miss using you as a table
But i will not miss you in my sleep
when you are gone i will finally be able
to sleep without counting sheep

:)

*p.s. this cartoon is an illustration of a real photo i took watching tv and was told its too embarrassing to post on my blog :)

Any Minute Now

i have officially entered the 9th month. Actually i am starting the 2nd week of the 9th month. It is said that as soon as you enter the 9th month you could POP anyday. Usually if its the first baby you finish your whole month but in some cases you deliver 2 weeks or more before!

So what am i feeling this month? Its like i was not pregnant till this month started! my movement is sooooo hard! getting out of a chair seems like an exhausting task! I sit there and have to swing myself off the chair or ask someone to help me up! I usually dont feel like getting up after i sit down! Baby lulu is getting bigger and so are her kicks! She is starting to hurt mommy with her turns and kicks. Not only is there pressure on my bladder but my intestines seem squashed ! *sigh

my days are long... and so are my nights... when will i boggg this baby already! lol

yes yes i know i will not sleep when she is out but i already cant sleep or roll over in bed !

GOTTA GO to the bathroom.. again... "YA MAMA BIKAFEE SHALALEET "

Pray for Dinos!!

Sea Lion Dino

So now that i am entering the 9th month! AAAAH! let me repeat that so that it will sink in the 9th month! im just feeling all sorts of things. i mean its only now that i REALLY feel pregnant!
At the beginning of the pregnancy i felt like i was just a bit bloated and maybe sometimes food poisoned because of the puking. Then in the second trimester it was like am getting fat only in mostly in my belly and that my meals are alive and just twirling in my stomach. I also felt like a pig from the way i have been attacking food! i also felt like a cow for reasons i am not comfortable sharing on my blog lol well im sure most of u got it already.

anyway....

Now.... i feel like a sea lion lying on a shore of an ocean. All i wanna do is sleep on a rock and listen to the sound of the ocean. I also feel like a penguin when i walk from side to side. i can't even turn around in bed without feeling like i need a crane to come and pick me up!

Not to mention that there is a head on my bladder. meaning i might move me bed into the bathroom.

Sigh.. so to summarize... pregnancy makes humans experience being all sorts of animal like traits and its a lovely experience lol

WISH ME LUCK!! AAAAAH!

Glad to be back & Alive !!

Egypt trip was a very in6aras6ing exberyons.. i sink i will talk lik zis for a waaayil :P

just kidding... i love the english egypshan.. its like language on its own! Well while i was there i spent most of my time in the hotel but still managed to go the mall "city stars"!

i have never seen worse driving EVER than in egypt! its like who needs roller coaster rides when u can simply get in a CAB!

Ofcourse i had a mild case of food poisoning after having a salad . should have listened to mama when she said dont eat anything that is not cooked. naughty dino.

whats up with people asking for tips for everthing there? "ma tekremeeena ba2a" "ma 3andikeesh haga 7ilwa" "tab 2ayzeen nishrab shay"

the lady in the airport who was checking me in was like " ma feesh haga 7ilwa liya" *shocking

we planned on going to khan al khalili but after hearing about the bombing we chose to stick to city stars mall :P we went to al neel had dinner.. it was nice... i had a good time...

on the flight back..... i ended up sitting next to 2 egybshanz ... both male.. on the right a very shy and nervous man and on the left was a very saye3 "yo yo wassap" guy who seemed to have 2 phones and 100 girlfriends. before the plane took off he would call different girls and say
" ideeni bosa" lol eww..

so an hour before landing the plane went through major turbulence.. when i say major i mean like the pilot lost control for a whole minute the plane was pretty much crashing.. ppl were screaming and crying... and yelling "shahada" ! i think i just wanted to hang on to anything! it was so scary.. i thought of the movie final destination.. the series lost and wondered if i will end up on an islan with ben and the lost shilah!

but most of all i felt omg.. i dont want to die. and in that moment i felt i regretted so many hours i wasted doing nothing and how bad it felt to know that im an not in that place where i feel islamicly ready.. i feel i got so caught up in life and meaningless things that i forgot that in one second i could die! In that moment i wish i read more quran. that i prayed more. did so many things.. and now im back and im fine and its hard to feel that feeling again. we forget. but God doesnt. we regret. but God forgives.

i wish that i can be a better person and that i can press one button to clean my heart and make my iman as strong as it once was.

ok that was a serious moment.. so well if u all wondered where bagoora is.. she is still in egypt and has been spending lots of time with a gamoosa :P will keep u posted with her news lol

Im Due April 18th inshala..... Pray for Me & little layla "lulu"

Moved to New Apartment

Hello I'm Back after a long time! I have been so busy with the moving process ! We moved to a new apartment ! It's in sharjah and its much bigger than the one we were in & i love it! hamduliah :) its 5 mins away from my parents house and my best friends live on the same ROAD! woo hooo :)

My belly is getting bigger and bigger by the second and i find myself sitting and staring at it while baby lulu kicks and turns and i see it changing in shape! sub7anallah. her kicks are harder now and soon i think they will start to HURT!

im in the 29th week. 7th month. so i think i should start the countdown and freaking out! AAAH! I need advice on what are the best stroller/car seat/crib/baby changing table to buy.

All you mothers and people with experience in that department don't hesitate in leaving me a comment to enlighten me to this world of baby stuff i just get so confused when i go into the baby shop!

p.s. i officially walk like a penguin now

IT's A GirL

Sorry i haven't posted for a while i was in kuwait :) Back now and GUESS WHAT?!

ITS A GIRL! YIpeeeeeeee! i have to admit i kind of felt it was from the start! with my baby girl baby dreams! i thought maybe the dreams were because i always wanted a girl but apparently my psychic feelings were CORRECT :)

someone has to stop me from spending all my money on cute baby girl clothes! i am addicted to baby shopping! OH and someone has to STOP ME FROM EATING!

in the beginning the problem was that i could not eat because of the puking so i ended up losing a lot of weight! NOW I CAN'T STOP! its like there is a HOLE in my stomach i can eat and eat and eat and not feel full!

But after the doctor said i gained way too much for one month i am starting to control myself
*munching on khass and khyar and healthy food and trying to imagine that it's chocolate

*sigh

Baby is kicking now and when i have chocolate i think she starts dancing and kicking all over the place!

i am going to name her LAYLA inshala :)

Girl or Boy

So i still don't know if it's a girl or boy but its so annoying because i could have found out 2 months ago. Last appointment i had it on the calender and thought i had an ultrasound! Apparently i should have booked a separate appointment for ultrasound! So well my appointment is DEC 4th! CANT WAIT!

What is more important than that baby's sex is that its a healthy baby inshala :)

Baby Fears

So now i am in the beginning of the 5th month now and i feel everyday i find out something new! or i experience something weird! Now my belly is in that stage where people stare at it wondering is it a KARSH or Pregnant belly?! I don't puke anymore but well i am expanding ! Some changes are too embarrassing to blog about! lets just say me and cow will only have more and more in common !

I start imagining how it will be like after being used to sleeping a lot and having time to myself. I freak out when i think of how i will deal with the responsibilities of having a bobo. But inshala i will manage somehow with a lot of valium and coffee to stay awake :P

Any mothers out there if you have any useful tips please share them with me and if you are going to tell me negative things like " forget your life" or " u will never sleep again" . save it i have heard it before.

Bobo (_/_)'s

Sorry for not cartoon today and for being away for a while. i keep catching all sorts of flus and end up feeling sick and tired. I think that i can feel little bobo kicking but not so clearly its like little butterflies or twitches. Some say i could be mistaken that it could be gas lol but i stand by my belief that it was the bobo!

Don't you love baby (_/_)'s !Soo cute! im probably never going to let my baby wear diapers so that i can admire its tiny tatooz! But well i will probably suffer the consequences! Those tatoozat are tiny and cute you would never believe the amout of poop that can come out of them.

I think this is one of my rather disgusting posts and i dont know why im discussing gas, tatooz and poop 3al subu7. :P

Have a great day ! :P

Pregnancy & Runny Noses

I learn something new everyday in my pregnancy. Apparently the puking was the reaction of the body rejecting the "bobo" because to the body it is a "foreign body" and will reject it and eventually the immune system will be suppressed an is less effective and well this explains my cold :)

I feel like someone forget his shib shib in my throat. I feel like i need to attack a vacuum to each nostril! i think in 2 days i have finished 4 tissue boxes.

Il muhim al humduliah :) i got to see my bobo move for the first time. Little tiny bobo that is only 4 cms now and already moves and kicks little bobo kicks! Sub7analah!  I mean seriously this calls for a movie called "what lies beneath the karsh" lol

More on Pregnancy

Now that im pregnant even my dreams revolve around babies and pregnancy and labor! All baby dreams! Last weird dream was that my baby was so tiny and turned into "3ajeeneh"
I do know that my sister used to call me "al ragheef al 3ajeeb" because of my chubby round face but to have a "3ajeen" baby is something else! lol

So ofcourse the news of someone being pregnant spreads as fast as the news of engagements and weddings & death (b3eed il shar). So i keep getting calls from people saying " YOU'RE PREGNANT!" followed by a lot of chipmunk like screams and a few " OMG OMG OMG"
hehe it's nice! But what i hate is the unwanted advice! Or when people decided to say things like " oh you reminded of myself when i was 3 months pregnant i had a miscarriage" or " when i was pregnant i was going to die in the 8th month from complications"
"my marriage was fine up until i had kids" etc.

What i want to hear not is Happy Thoughts! Im already freaking out about the cow-like milk fountains that could start even before delivery! The Labor Pain! Whether or not to take the risk of Epidural! What will happen in delivery! How i will manage to take care of a baby when i can hardly take care of my plant! :S

Oh and what i hate! is when they always say "WALAD WALAD" inshala! As if il binit ils mseeebeh! i mean come on are we still in the stone age! They go like "jeebi il walad wa i6amani"! i say kolo min Allah mnee7! And its not like there is a button you press to get a BOY! i hear stories of men threatening to divorce the wife if she doesn't get a boy! all i can say to that is that is the definition of "TAKHALUF"

As for me i love girls and boys and if i love any gender more it would be girlies! with their cute baby clothes and hair clips! And when they grow up they turn into fountains of love. I would rather have a girl that grows up to make me proud and be good to me than a boy that could eventually yi6ali3 3ayni with his mughamarat & raging hormones.

Cow says she will help and that i am welcome to any fresh milk for the baby at anytime :)

Lazy Dino

So pregnancy is not as easy as i thought. Nausea aside you actually get really emotional. I cry to almost everything. for example there is this "ramadan" ad with a kid singing. I cried to another ramadan ad where a guy buys another guy a shirt. Everything makes me cry! So dont tell me anything that is even slightly sentimental or sad. I cry then i wonder WHY AM I CRYING?! its my hormones i guess!

Anyway. i feel so lazy and i just want to sleep all day! I know its too early to be in pregnant mode but wallah i already have lower back pain along with a bunch of other not so lovely symptoms!

NO Coffee No tea no tuna or anything raw. I have to eat more vegetables and healthy food.
Certain smells make me wanna barf! Even tastes! The toothpaste makes me GAG everytime i brush my teeth! Some perfumes too!

I feel my sense of smell has become even stronger! I always knew my nose was small but fa3aaal! now i feel i have super powers! i can smell things from a distance!

Not a good feeling when you are walking in a corwded place! Imagine walking next to someone who smells like sweat to a normal person. TO me i feel like my nose is ta7t baaaa6oh! ya333oooo

*dino puts nose clip on

Ramadan Tv

People have this idea that ramadan is the month of tv shows and late night sheesha and ofcourse food food and more food. Some have 3azayim for su7oor. Im not saying i don't watch baab al 7ara or tv but im shocked at how many shows start in ramadan. I saw this preview the other day for a tv show saying "ahlan ramadan" with a ra2asa ? hmmm

I remembered fawazeer nelli and sharehaan that we  used to watch as kids. In my head growing up ramdan was the month of fawazeer. Its sad but true that we are all caught up with all the "events" that come with ramdan that we don't do much thikr and 3ibadat.

Allah yu3fu 3anna & May God accept your prayers.

Fatta humus wa Fatwa 3al hawa

So its ramadan again and ofcourse if you turn on the radio station you will here a lot of Fatawee 3al hawwa. Ofcourse people call with the same yearly questions. Whether its oka to brush your teeth in ramadan. If its okay to wear perfume and makeup. All sorts of questions! Some are just sometimes weird and emabrassing and you sit there wondering did that guy just REALLY say that?

Bagoora overheard a question on a station the other day. Someone was asking if its okay to eat a cow that is also considered a relative because they are so close to each other. She suspects it was me and has been avoiding me again. lol

I forgot to mention that fatta humus is something that tastes good with la7m il bagar :P ehehehe

Anyway... happy ramadan again!

RAMADAN MUBARAK

RAMADAN IS HERE AGAIN! A year has passed ! Sub7annallah! it was like yesterday that i was cooking for last ramadan :P oh the stress of finishing the tabkha on time! Today ma3zoomeen so NO COOKING YEAY!

Has anyone one of you been to the supermarket lately? im guessing YES! i saw you all there when i went lol ! seriously EISH HAAAAAAATH?! hheh that called for the jordanian accent to come out. It only comes out in times when i want to make my point more AGGRESSIVE !

We went to get groceries. And ofcourse in the beginning we couldnt find a 3arabayeh! so we ended up with those messed up ones that are so m3affneen that you can even push them right! you end up bumping into ppl and saying "sorry" and pointing at the messed up shopping cart! And sometimes it decided to stop on its own like an sa3eedi donkey. And sometimes it just goes in directions on its OWN! After a lot of kicking and pushing and high blood pressure! i noticed that maybe its not just ramadan maybe its TSUNAMI or something?

PEOPLE were shopping like crazy! VIMTO was out of stock 3 days ago! Cheese Sambosa all GONE! I was like omg? are we all MAFAjeeee3?! ofcourse i couldnt help but peak at everyone else's cart and omg. All full to the point that you cant see the person pushing it! haha

oh and the line for the cashier was up till the end of each aisle! can you imagine? so i experienced how it feels like when people ATTACK  a supermarket!

So before i was told never to shop when i am hungry. I think shopping while you are fasting is much worse!!! :P

I admit we also got a lot of food but it was just because we don't plan on shopping for food in ramadan so it was like a month of shopping.. hehe

So anyway... PEOPLE... RAMADAN KAREEM! kol 3am wa into bkhier! May all your prayers be answered. Bagoora is avoiding me and says i look at her differently. She claims that i see her as a walking hamburger in ramadan. I dont plan on eating her but last ramadan i was so close to using her for tabkha when we ran out of la77777meh!! :)

SHaaarrrraaaaaP!

You know i am one of the people who repeats stories because of my very very horrible memory i tend to repeat stories over and over again. lol I had to draw a cartoon for al alam about something similar . Those people who make up unbelievable stories just to impress you and in reality they look really stupid because no one really believes them. Like for ex saying they can see dead poeple. I met a girl who said she saw dead people not in her dreams but in real life. And all i can say to her is no more watching the series " GHOST WHISPERER"!! :)

Man's Point of View On Marriage

Hello All... miss me ? :D here is a cartoon i did for alalam newspaper. And well it was a post about a man complaining that since he got married all he is doing is buying gifts for his wife and her family and things for his wife. He complains that marriage is life a jail and that he wishes he was single again.

I mean its not marriage itself i guess it depends on who you marry :)

Bagoora will be back soon im a bit busy these couple of days

Islamic Noor ( GumuS)

Hello Everyone! Sorry its been a while been kind of busy lately!! Ofcourse If you live in jordan or any part of the middle east you may have already caught the "GUMUS" fever! The Turkish series "GUMUS" mdablaj in baab al 7aara style on MBC4.

At first you start watching out of curiosity and you make fun of the names like " 3abdeeen"and "ruqaya" and you are like hahah sho hal habal! then somehow you hear that everyone is watching it and you find it on tv all the time so you start watching it secretly and still make jokes about the ppl who watch it. Then you turn into an official mohanad and noor fan and u even start convincing ppl to watch it! saying things like "ino insi il accent il 2esa kteeer kteeer 7ilwe!!"

it's like Casandra & Bab il 7ara all over again!

My friends are in Turkey for a visit and were told that this was one of the lamest series in turkey and that these ppl are not very famous there! No wonder they have time to come to DUBAI and KUWAIT to meet their fans! No wonder muhannad has time to star in a video with a haabta singer.

Everyday in the newspaper there is a new story about a woman who got beat up by her husband after she asked him to be more like muhanad. Another was divorced for putting muhannads pic on her mobile as a screensaver! lol

aslan his name isnt mohannad! its sounds more like a sineye falling from 3al daraj
kivantatalug ting tash ting tash hahah :P

So yes i watch it.... and no i don't plan on watching it till season 7! Did u guys know it is actually still playing in turkey?! it has reached season 7!

MUHANNAD eventually dies and his son actually grows up to be HIM! hahahahhaha SHOCKER

And i think that noor chic will grow up to be noor and they start falling in love all over again!

So bagoora went to meet them and says that nooor had another wedding this time with hijjab and she had bagoora do all the cooking!! heheehhe

Ya rayt yi7ajboohum fi hal musalal !

BAgoora Goes to Burger KING

Another Day, Another Adventure. I have been wondering where bagoorti spends her time and i found out from (secret) sources that she has been standing outside burgerking with signs asking people to stop eating BURGERS!

i told her not to do that before after one of the people who worked there tried to turn her into WHOPPERS! :S

So.. after a long long talk and a few hugs and promises that i will never eat her even if we are stuck underground with nothing edible but her. I promised her not eat any of her relatives either ( except for the annoying ones). I am not really that into bagar eating, i am a chicken eater :)

So.. this pointless will end with a something meaningful. So let me think of a moral here.. hmmm... When you love someone and they are a big cow, you can still be the better person and not eat them when you can. You will rise and be the better person. :)

Sha7adeen Stories

Shahadeen, Sha7ateen, Beggars whatever name you choose to call them, they are everywhere. In some places more than others and with endless scenarios and acts. i will share a few stories :

Once i was standing in Jordan in "sweifyeh" where they seem to have DAWAM RASMI and well some guy comes up with a paper and he was not saying anything and gave me a sad look of "ana miskeen" and came up to the car window. I think the paper was some medical paper saying he is DEAF! Just as i was about to get my purse some car from behind him HONKED its HORN and GUESS WHAT THE DEAF GUY DID? bil 2orduni " NAGAZ" hmmmm ya3ni mush fahmeh how he HEARD THE ZAMOOR!!!

Again in Sweifieyeh in the car this time i stopped at one of the traffic lights. And the traffic light in jordan first thing you should do is roll up your window unless if you want someone to throw in some "S&B" chewing gum, or even sometimes stick their head in your car and yell things like " ALLAH yib3atLIK WA7ad 7ilo zayek! Allah yib3atlik wa7ad 3yooonoh ZURUG". So as i was about to roll up the window i notice one little boy crying and his box of chewing gum ( which he apparently dropped on the floor).

He was crying and picking up the gum. So i was like haram miskeen, he probably will get in trouble by the BIG BOSS who throws them in the street to start with and i 7sint 3alieh and gave him some money. NEXT DAY!!!! SAME BOY! CRYING! SAME PLACE! SAME BOX! it was FILM! and so many ppl fell for that! When i told my friend she too FELL for that FILM and felt so sorry for him and went and got him another box of chewing gum to SELL!!

i felt so stupid! i mean this boy deserves an award for his acting!

Oh so many stories i lost track. But well this one is funny. Last time i was in amman i was feeling that my IMAN needs a boost that i miss going to the masjid and that i want to feel the spirituality again.

So that day i was so emotional when i went to the masjid next to our house. The lecture was about tawba and how if GOD loves someone He makes it easy for them to get 7asanat. So after the khutbet il jum3a i was leaving and this lady came to me crying telling me her son has something wrong fi "thaanoh" (his ear) and needs an operation.

At that time i did not plan on buying anything so i had no money on me. So she kept crying and telling me about "thaan ibinha" and in my head i felt that i couldnt help her because maybe God doesnt love me and doesnt want me to get 7asanat which is why i dont have my wallet. So i started crying and crying! And praying for her and her son. Suddenly i look at her and she is not crying anymore, she has a weird confused look on her face and she said " khalas khalas and walked away." She realized her act was useless and went on to someone else.

looking back all i can say is ma ahbaaaaaaaaaalni!

Oh oh and once i had like 10 JDs and this kid kept following me trying to sell me " BLASTAR" so i was like ma3eeeesh fra6ah he goes " haaaaaaaateeee maaaasik"

really yantabiq 3alieh al qawl "shahaaat wa bishare6"

If you have any stories to share please do! :)

Cow Afro Adventure

For those of you who are new to this blog, you are probably asking the same question which is " WHAT'S UP WITH THE COW?" Your answer is in this old post that will clarify how my cow obsession started :)

The BAGOORA STORY

So, well to those who already know Bagoora and are waiting for her new adventures. She has become quite famous and has started avoiding her fans by wearing AFRO hair and sunglasses only every once in a while someone realizes who she is and yells out " BAGOORA"!

She is not liking the fame too much and says that she misses lying in the 7asheeshat without someone following her with their video cam.

You know some people are affected by fame and become snobby, but bagoora will never let her fame and fans change her. It's so funny how some people go through extreme life changes and still are the same and they don't let life change them. While others go from extremes without really going through any major life changes.

Il muhim sometimes people are forced to change to be able to survive in this world.

Keef 2alabt drama? okay so back to COW. she is not for sale. and she is does appreciate being called " EISH YA SHAWERMA"

Baby Dino & Baby Bagoora

Today is one of the days i am feeling nostalgic and looking back at the old days when life was much simpler. I remember the first time i saw the snow! And well i ran out to play with it made a very ugly snow man that looked more like jabal amman.

I would open my mouth and wait for some snow to come in my mouth.Come to think of it it did taste weird :S Or i would stand like in that scene from the movie "i know what you did last summer" when jennifer love hewit has her arms wide open and yells

"WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR HUH" lol

I used to hang out with the neighbors kids ( till this day i wonder why i did hang out with them. They were pretty handy when it comes to finding old tires to use as snow boards! i remember getting on a 3ajal (tire) and sliding down a small hill next to our house. It was an interesting ride the required many pushes along the way down the 10inch hill! :P

Come to think of it those neighbors might have lived in the street :S because i remember no matter what time i go down they are there doing things like riding their " BUSOKLAYT" on ramps ( which were khashabat they found in the street). They even taught me how to make a SLING SHOT.

maybe i have shared too much about my past lol

so.. bagoora loved the snow too and borrowed a pair of my boots when we went out. Only by the time we came back home we could not feel our feet and had them stuck on the "Dafayeh"(heater).

Girl$ & BathrooM Talks (oh btw im BACK)

So... after a lot of thinking and hesitation and many messages from people! I really didn't know that many people liked reading my posts. That is why i am BACK!

If you find my blog offensive, and if you think this blog is pointless you can easily overlook it and not visit it.

Now about todays post.. cow noticed that girls usually go to the bathroom in groups.. unlike her cow friends they usually go anywhere and they don't need to take their friends along. So she decided to hide in one of the bathrooms to see what is the secret!

Conclusion is Girls go in groups to GOSSIP and talk about girly stuff like their current crush, boyfriend, or someone who is sitting with them on the table wondering why they took so long in there.

Some girls mostly in jordan choose to smoke in the bathrooms.

Others reapply layers and layers of makeup and spray tons of perfume.

Hope this post was enlighting to many males wondering what was the big secret.

NOW YOU KNOW

Many more cow adventures to come inshala! It's Good to be Back!
