Angel vs. Devil

Thought of the day... Sometimes we meet people... we really think they are angels on earth.. soo sweet.. and nice.. they are soo nice that u can't imagine that someday they will disappoint you...

That is before you really get to know them.. their angellic image in your mind slowly gets blurred out and you realize they are not at all what they think they are.. You start to feel stupid for thinkin they were angels in the first place...

So.. the reality is.. there are no angels out there trapped in human form... humans are humans.. angels are angels.. Some people are nicer than others.. Some are straight out evil.. but we all have an angel and devil inside of us...

its just the percentage of DEvilness in some people is way higher than others....

AS for me... im 99% ANGEL

ok ok ok ... yes im lying... im more like 99.9 % hehehe

truth is... i feel the more religious i become the more angellic i feel.. because Islam tells us how to be good to others.. never backstab each other.. never lie.. never hurt or kill another person intentionally... help the poor and needy... give charity..obey your parents...be good to people.. be good to your neighbors... sooo much more...

i think if we followed the teachings of islam correctly it would be a peaceful world.. the problem is.. even muslims dont practice islam.. and give out the wrong impression to others...

Now unfortunately when people think of ISlam they think of terrorism... bombings... an opressed lady covered from head to toe ... and ofcourse how DARE YOU have a sense of humor??????????

its like Islam is related to frowning or being MAD at the world all the time!!

All that is far from the truth.. Islam is a beautiful religion.. im proud to say im a muslim.. and YES i do have a sense of HUMOR! I wear hijab but don't see myself as opressed, i do not plan on bombing myself anytime soon or in the future..

i respect other religions andbeliefs and i do expect the same from others...

Do you ever think that maybe we actually know these people are bad, or will disappoint us...but we want to believe that they are good ? That what they are saying and doing is just a cover?
I think that a truely good person will knowingly overlook the negative signs and try to find that good person inside them. It is only when we realize that it isn't there that we are disappointed and surprised.

You brought up an interesting issue with religion. As I mentioned before, I am not muslim , but I do find that interesting about religion. That when we practice a religion strongly, and respect it, follow it, that we are good people. That we are happy, at peace.
But there are people in every religion that can find loopholes if they want to. Ways of repenting for sins and therefore easily justifying deviating from it.
Being a good person takes effort and conviction.

People often talk about not being happy. Happiness is relative. To one person happiness might be wallowing around in their own pooh..and another might be burning down houses...another might be swimming in apool of chocolate while watching a Garfield movie ( move along folks, nothing to see here....)

I always say it is not important if I am happy..it is important that I am a good person, to myself and others. Happinesss comes , but not in a materialistic form , and not at the cost of others.

OOhhh... too serious today.

Take care...

wow u do have a serious side!! i think happiess is in the mind!its like everything depends on the persons perspective... we might go through the same experiences yet one person would totally flip out while the other would have had the time of his life... which reminds me of this ....

How long a minute is ....
depends on what side of the
bathroom door you're on.

ehe irrelevent yes.. but i had to break the serious mode!

i loved the part abt swimmin in a pool of chocolate.. hmmm where do u live exactly? *worried

You know, I never really considered poetry until recently. I was flipping through a book of poetry at a friends house and one of the poems nearly brought me to tears. They can be so powerful and I am almost ashamed that I had never really considered it as reading. She will be lending me the book once she is done, and I am definately looking forward to it. Writing poetry ?...there is hope for the future.

Where am I ? ... Canada ..knee deep in snow and ice.

I am kind of reflecting on the happiness thing now as well. Hear so many people talk about the search for it. Look forward to reading your thoughts.
